Influencer Nangel Menez and Marko raised $20,000 by selling hot dogs to help 5-year-old Victoria Antonella, who suffers from common acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Richard Encanto and Leo Colina also accompanied Nangel Menez in the noble cause by selling food and receiving donations in support of the little girl and her mother.
The activity was held on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and attendees were attended by influencers, while another 800 people made their donations through GoFoundMe.
"The intention with this type of activity is to motivate followers to donate to those most in need," said Nangel Menez.
Nangel Menez, who is also an actor and has nearly 800,000 followers on Instagram, thanked the people who helped raise the money in such a short time.
Victoria Antonella and her mother reside in Maracay, Venezuela, and are unable to afford expensive treatment and tests to fight this type of blood cancer on their own.
Story of the girl
Victoria Antonella Sánchez González was diagnosed in February 2021 with common acute lymphoblastic leukemia and urgently needs a rather aggressive treatment to curb the disease.
Her parents are humble people of limited resources who reside in Venezuela, which means an enormous challenge to be able to afford the treatments and examinations to which the girl must undergo.
Victoria is about to start her first cycle of chemotherapy, prior to this she needs a protocol to strengthen and balance her immune system, and enhance her organs with antihomotoxicology (biological medicine), before starting her chemo cycle.
